KEIRA Knightley’s wig in her new 18th century flick The Duchess was so heavy she had to have a resting post specially made for her to lean on in between takes!
Keira plays scandalous aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, opposite RALPH FIENNES in the upcoming movie.
She had to wear a sky-high Marie Antoinette-type wig for several key scenes.
Co-star HAYLEY ATWELL said that Keira found the wig too heavy for her delicate head and neck.
Hayley, in LA to promote her new movie Brideshead Revisited, said: “I loved filming The Duchess. Keira has a great sense of humour – she’s really funny.
“She had to wear this huge wig that was so heavy. They made her a special board that she could lean her shoulders and head against in between takes so she didn’t topple over or get neck ache! It was funny.”
Can't wait! Keira Knightley will have the September cover of Vogue - a great big, fat fashion issue nonetheless.
