Keira Knightley was spotted (and thankfully photographed!) in London’s West End Tuesday night, February 23.

She looked fresh-faced and gorgeous as always in a killer coat and ridiculously beautiful scarf.

Sadly, Johnny Depp recently confirmed what we pretty much already knew: Keira won’t be returning for the next Pirates move.

Johnny Depp told press that neither Keira Knightley nor Orlando Bloom will be on board for the highly anticipated POTC 4. “We’re coming at it from a different angle at this point, Rob Marshall and [a] totally new take, it’s a new story. I don’t think we’d ever throw too much Jack Sparrow in there. There will be a little bit of everybody.”

Sam Worthington, Evan Mendes, and Keira Knightley: In One Film!

Gorgeous and red hot actor Sam Worthington (Avatar) was pleasantly surprised when he learned that Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes were his co-stars in the upcoming film Last Night.

Sam said he felt like he’d hit the jackpot when he was told he’d be sharing the screen with the two Hollywood beauties. His friends were so excited that they rushed to visit him in New York to meet the female stars while he filmed the movie!

“I did the film as a favour to the director and then she said, ‘I have Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes too.’ So I thought, ‘Let’s go to the lottery!’ Suddenly all my mates, who weren’t that bothered before, wanted to come out to New York and hang out with Keira and Eva. Strange that,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

What a ridiculously gorgeous film Last Night is going to be with these three in it!

Keira Knightley and Others Pull Out of My Fair Lady

Okay, this is a total bummer.

Keira Knightley will not be playing the role of Eliza Doolittle in the movie adaptation of My Fair Lady, according to UK reports.

Knightley had been in talks with the producers of the movie about taking on the role but reportedly pulled out as she thought that it was taking too long to start production. Directors such as Joe Wright and Danny Boyle had been linked with the movie but have also pulled out.

Someone up high apparently dropped the ball.  I was really looking forward to Keira as Eliza!

Keira Knightley: Basic Rate for Her Broadway Debut

Keira Knightley reportedly only gets basic rate payment for her debut performance in Broadway play “The Misanthrope”. According to Britain’s Daily Mirror, the 24-year-old takes home 750 pounds after a week starring in the West End production.

However, we have to keep in mind that the superstar hardly needs the money!

“Keira was more than happy to do it at a basic rate. She will be taking a percentage of the box office sales as well, but she’s doing this for experience more than anything else. She has been a joy to work with,” a source said of the Juliette Paxton of “Bend It Like Beckham”.

Keira Knightley is Getting Good Reviews for Her New Play

Keira Knightley is knocking them off of their feet at early previews of her new play the Misanthrope!

Audience reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with one saying: ‘People have obviously said before the performance that she would not do very well but clearly she can handle all that pressure and did a really good job on the night.’

Keira has said that she took the role because the script made her laugh. ‘It made me giggle. That really was it. I’ve been sent things that were very serious, and I read this and thought, ‘How lovely, that really might be fun,”

One source said:

“Keira was extremely good. I thought she was even better than Damian Lewis, which was a real surprise to me. She did a wonderful job.” (Source)

I knew she’d get fantastic reviews because she’s such a super special actress.  Other stars have gotten either bad or mixed reviews in plays – Ashlee Simpson, Katie Holmes, Sienna Miller…  Good to see our girl hitting it out of  the park!

My Fair Lady News and Rumors

Keira Knightley, as you know, won the role of Eliza Doolittle in a new film adaptation of “My Fair Lady.”

Joe Wright will direct the much-anticipated movie. Wright worked with Keira in “Pride & Prejudice” and “Atonement.” He’s obviously one of the best directors in the business.

Academy Award-winner Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility) is writing the screenplay.

This is really exciting, too: Daniel Craig is now being mentioned as a possibility to play Professor Henry Higgins! Daniel Craig and Keira Knightley on screen at the same time… makes my knees weak!

Keira Knightley Being Considered for Dusty Springfield

Keira Knightley, Nicole Kidman and even Amy Winehouse are being considered to play Dusty Springfield in a new movie. Dusty Springfield was a very, very popular singer in the 60’s with hits I Only Want To Be With You, You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me, and Son of a Preacher Man.

The £5million film, likely to be called Dusty, could begin filming late next year.

Terence Doyle, editor of British film magazine, says: “Playing Dusty would be a dream role and there is sure to be fierce competition to land the part.”

Voted the Top British Female Artist in 1964, 1965, and 1968, Dusty Springfield had a worldwide hit with Son of a Preacher Man. It’s, unquestionably, one of the best songs ever.

Her album Dusty In Memphis has been voted one of the greatest 100 pop records of all time.

A movie insider said the film would “almost certainly” explore the “complicated private life” of the gay singer who died from breast cancer in 1999. She was only 59 when she died.

Keira Knightley Sparks Serious Ticket Sales!

Keira Knightley’s play has taken £1million at the box office in just four days – even though it hasn’t opened yet!

The advance sales are totally unheard of and have caused quite a stir.

The Misanthrope marks Keira’s West End stage debut and the news of her casting was only announced a week ago, yet her fans are flocking in droves for tickets. The play is an updated version of a 17th century comedy by famed French playwright Moliere.

The wonderful British actor Damian Lewis will star opposite Keira Knightley when the play opens on December 7th of 2009.

Its success is even more impressive considering the only publicity so far has consisted of reports in newspaper gossip columns.

There’s been no advance advertising and the poster image of the cast was only shot yesterday.

I hope the play, and Keira are a huge, huge success. I have no doubt that they will be.
