Keira Knightley Sparks Serious Ticket Sales!

Keira Knightley’s play has taken £1million at the box office in just four days – even though it hasn’t opened yet!

The advance sales are totally unheard of and have caused quite a stir.

The Misanthrope marks Keira’s West End stage debut and the news of her casting was only announced a week ago, yet her fans are flocking in droves for tickets. The play is an updated version of a 17th century comedy by famed French playwright Moliere.

The wonderful British actor Damian Lewis will star opposite Keira Knightley when the play opens on December 7th of 2009.

Its success is even more impressive considering the only publicity so far has consisted of reports in newspaper gossip columns.

There’s been no advance advertising and the poster image of the cast was only shot yesterday.

I hope the play, and Keira are a huge, huge success. I have no doubt that they will be.
