A man arrested on suspicion of harassing and stalking Keira Knightley has walked free from court – the case has been dropped because of insufficient evidence.

Hopefully the guy has learned his lesson and will get on with his life. I hate these “insufficient evidence” cases. It’s like they’re saying, “No harm, no foul.” Shouldn’t they want to prevent the harm from ever happening?!

Beautiful and talented actresses Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley are reportedly each being considered for the lead role in the remake of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’.

Oscar-nominated ‘An Education’ star Carey Mulligan, ‘Juno’ actress Ellen Page as well as Natalie Portman are also apparently interested in the lead role in the new version of the film, reported Contactmusic.

The film is based on the novel by Swedish author Stiegg Larsson and even ‘Twilight’ star Kristen Stewart is being considered as an option for the lead.

However, the movie’s director (David Fincher) isn’t sure whether he wants to cast an established star or an unknown actress in the lead role.

“David is not sure if he wants to go with an actress of any note or go with an unknown. David’s process is very specific and private. He’s looking for authenticity and a degree of fierceness and believability capable of delivering the intensity that the part on the page calls for,” said a source.

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is believed to have been offered the male lead in the film.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo – a Swedish version of which was released in cinemas earlier this year – is the
first in a trilogy, followed by The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest.

A Shropshire tour company is offering fans a chance to get up close and personal with the gorgeous set for the Oscar-winning movie Atonement.

Marking the release of the Blu-ray DVD of the period film featuring Keira Knightley, a new exclusive ’set-jetting’ tour of the real-life Shropshire stately home location is being launched – with the added bonus of taking in the movie’s London wartime sets.

Designed to appeal to anyone who enjoyed the award-winning movie starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, Shropshire’s PandP Tours has created a behind-the-scenes tour of Shropshire location Stokesay Court, home of that fountain as well as many of the movie’s other memorable scenes.

As well as coach travel, hotel accommodation with breakfast, all entrance fees plus tour guides, the tour includes a rare chance to go inside Stokesay Court with décor instantly recognisable from the production.

Those joining are promised “juicy production anecdotes” and a chance to meet the owners. The tour is the brainchild of professional Shropshire-based tour guides – and mother-and-daughter team – Helen Wilkinson and Maddy Hall, who have turned their personal passion for literary and movie locations into a business.

Images of outrageously gorgeous glamor shots by photographers such as Helmut Newton, Mario Testino and Rankin are to be auctioned to raise funds for a homeless charity supported by Prince William.

The Prince himself will be attending a reception to launch the sale on Thursday for A Positive View, of which he is a patron.

The shots – vintage and contemporary – include pictures of stars such as actresses Keira Knightley and Audrey Hepburn and model Kate Moss.
All proceeds of the exhibition will go to Crisis, the UK’s leading homeless charity for single people.

The A Positive View auction will take place at Christie’s, London, on 15 April in aid of Crisis, www.apositiveview.com. A book of the auctioned works is available from www.amazon.co.uk.

Keira Knightley and Eric Bana have signed up for an adaptation of ‘The Emperor’s Children’.

Keira Knightley has signed up for ‘The Emperor’s Children’. ‘Greenberg’ director Noah Baumbach is to direct the movie, which is an adaptation of Claire Messud’s best-selling 2006 book. Also on board are Eric Bana and Richard Gere. How incredible does this sound so far?!

The novel tells the tale of three graduates from Brown University who are worried about hitting 30 and the level of expectation they have for the work and home lives. It is expected Gere will take a supporting role in the movie, which takes place in the months leading up to and after the September 11 terror attacks which took place in the US in 2001. Keira has a number of movie roles coming up, including a portrayal of writer Zelda Fitzgerald in biopic ‘The Beautiful and the Damned’ and David Cronenberg drama ‘The Talking Cure’ – in which Keira will play a character being treated by renowned psychologists Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Recently the 24-year-old actress revealed she wanted to do more theatre roles after starring in a West End production of comedy ‘The Misanthrope’. She said: “It’s so different to films as you really get into the character. In films, once you have finished shooting a scene it’s done but with theatre you’re always continuing. You get to know the character in a way that you don’t as much in films.” – Contact Music

‘The Emperor’s Children’ is scheduled  for a 2011 release.

According to a new British survey, Keira Knightley took the crown for the prettiest face with 18 per cent of both men and women putting her top of the list, while ‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston secured 17 per cent of the votes.

Keira Knightley felt threatened by a particular man, who would turn up regularly outside of the theatre, and reported him to police.

According to reports, the man would regularly wait outside a stage door at the Comedy Theatre, where the actress is performing in The Misanthrope.

The 41-year-old man was apprehended outside the venue and taken into custody Thursday.

“Keira felt threatened by this guy who turned up a number of times and tried to speak to her. He did not make any specific threats to her but she was concerned enough to call the police,” said a source.

Added a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police, “A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment on Thursday. The arrest follows concern expressed by a woman.”

Apparently, Keira picked up on some creepy vibes!

Keira Knightley talks to Elle in their March issue about criticism of her acting skills, the importance of honesty in her life, and her upcoming roles.

On her character in The Misanthrope:

“Jennifer’s kind of a crazy mix of being a complete bitch—confident and terrifying—yet she’s incredibly young and is probably being exploited way more than she actually realizes.”

On criticism of her acting skills:

“Oh, they still say that! Every time I do an interview with the English press, one of their questions is, ‘How do you feel knowing that everyone thinks you’re a s*** actress?’”

On surrounding herself with people who tell her the truth:

“You have to be selective about the people whose advice and opinions you take. I know [my parents] would never tell me I was s*** because they were trying to hurt me. It would always come from a very sincere place.”

On her other upcoming film “Last Night”:

“When we were making it, the arguments on set were just amazing about whether mental infidelity is better or worse than physical infidelity. There was a huge gender divide on the question. Every single woman said that mental infidelity is 10 times worse than [an emotionless assignation]. And most men I spoke with said that it’s the physical act that would be the ultimate betrayal.”

Gorgeous and red hot actor Sam Worthington (Avatar) was pleasantly surprised when he learned that Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes were his co-stars in the upcoming film Last Night.

Sam said he felt like he’d hit the jackpot when he was told he’d be sharing the screen with the two Hollywood beauties. His friends were so excited that they rushed to visit him in New York to meet the female stars while he filmed the movie!

“I did the film as a favour to the director and then she said, ‘I have Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes too.’ So I thought, ‘Let’s go to the lottery!’ Suddenly all my mates, who weren’t that bothered before, wanted to come out to New York and hang out with Keira and Eva. Okay, this is a total bummer.

Keira Knightley will not be playing the role of Eliza Doolittle in the movie adaptation of My Fair Lady, according to UK reports.

Knightley had been in talks with the producers of the movie about taking on the role but reportedly pulled out as she thought that it was taking too long to start production. Directors such as Joe Wright and Danny Boyle had been linked with the movie but have also pulled out.

Someone up high apparently dropped the ball.  I was really looking forward to Keira as Eliza!
