Never Let Me Go is based on the novel by British author Kazuo Ishiguro. It tells the story of three children, Ruth (Keira Knightley), Tommy (Andrew Garfield), and Kathy (Carey Mulligan), who grow up together after attending the same boarding school.

The highly-anticipated movie will be released in the U.S. in October.

Beautiful and talented actresses Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley are reportedly each being considered for the lead role in the remake of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’.

Oscar-nominated ‘An Education’ star Carey Mulligan, ‘Juno’ actress Ellen Page as well as Natalie Portman are also apparently interested in the lead role in the new version of the film, reported Contactmusic.

The film is based on the novel by Swedish author Stiegg Larsson and even ‘Twilight’ star Kristen Stewart is being considered as an option for the lead.

However, the movie’s director (David Fincher) isn’t sure whether he wants to cast an established star or an unknown actress in the lead role.

“David is not sure if he wants to go with an actress of any note or go with an unknown. David’s process is very specific and private. He’s looking for authenticity and a degree of fierceness and believability capable of delivering the intensity that the part on the page calls for,” said a source.

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is believed to have been offered the male lead in the film.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo – a Swedish version of which was released in cinemas earlier this year – is the
first in a trilogy, followed by The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest.

A Shropshire tour company is offering fans a chance to get up close and personal with the gorgeous set for the Oscar-winning movie Atonement.

Marking the release of the Blu-ray DVD of the period film featuring Keira Knightley, a new exclusive ’set-jetting’ tour of the real-life Shropshire stately home location is being launched – with the added bonus of taking in the movie’s London wartime sets.

Designed to appeal to anyone who enjoyed the award-winning movie starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, Shropshire’s PandP Tours has created a behind-the-scenes tour of Shropshire location Stokesay Court, home of that fountain as well as many of the movie’s other memorable scenes.

As well as coach travel, hotel accommodation with breakfast, all entrance fees plus tour guides, the tour includes a rare chance to go inside Stokesay Court with décor instantly recognisable from the production.

Those joining are promised “juicy production anecdotes” and a chance to meet the owners. The tour is the brainchild of professional Shropshire-based tour guides – and mother-and-daughter team – Helen Wilkinson and Maddy Hall, who have turned their personal passion for literary and movie locations into a business.

And from June a one-day package running as a stand-alone or a special ‘movie extra’ addition to the Shropshire Atonement tour will offer a new trail taking in London’s wartime locations from the movie. PandP Tours has teamed up with expert London specialist Brit Movie Tours to create the new trail around some of London’s top locations.

The two-day Shropshire ‘Double Bill Tour’ — which also includes a special behind-the-scenes tour of the real-life set of BBC TV’s hit programme Victorian Farm as an added bonus — is available once a month on weekdays until September, while the London locations day tour runs monthly from June to October 2010. Here’s the first official photograph from Keira’s film London Boulevard, directed by Academy Award-winning William Monahan and co-starring Golden Globe winner Colin Farrell.

The crime drama also stars David Thewlis, Anna Friel, Ben Chaplin, Eddie Marsan, Sanjeev Baskhar, newcomer Jamie Campbell Bower, and Ray Winstone.

Based on the book by Ken Bruen, “London Boulevard” is the story of a man newly released from prison who falls in love with a reclusive young movie star and finds himself in a duel with a vicious gangster.

London Boulevard is currently in the final stages of post production.

According to Empire Online, Keira Knightley has signed on to star in David Cronenberg’s film, which has changed its title from The Talking Cure to The Dangerous Method:

David Cronenberg’s third collaboration with Viggo Mortensen is no longer called The Talking Cure, and will henceforth be known as The Dangerous Method. Maybe the former just wasn’t sexy enough for those Universal execs. Who the hell wants to go see a movie about, like, talking?

So the movie will sport a different title from Christopher Hampton’s (Dangerous Liaisons) original play, but otherwise the song remains more or less the same: a three-hander drama about Sigmund Freud arguing with his pupil, Carl Jung, and Jung’s affair with the emotionally volatile patient Sabina.

The play sold out its 2003 London run starring Ralph Fiennes as Jung, Dominic Rowan as Freud and Jodhi May as Sabina. Cronenberg’s version will feature Mortensen as Freud (replacing Christophe Waltz at short notice), Michael Fassbender as Jung, and Keira Knightley as Sabina.

Producer Jeremy Thomas (who worked with Cronenberg on Crash and Naked Lunch) promised Deadline that the film will feature “lots of spirited sex”.  Sounds like something we can all get excited about!

Shooting starts next month in Germany.

Matt Damon is all set to star alongside Keira Knightley for a new period drama Tender is the Night.

The movie is an adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s classic of the same name.

The gorgeous and talented Matt Damon will reportedly play the role of a talented young doctor called Dick Diver, living on the French Riviera in the 1920s with his wife.

A director is yet to be attached to the project, which will be produced by 20th Century Fox, Contactmusic reported.

The movie, which so far has only a script written by David Nicchols, tells the tale of Dick as he goes through life, weighing up different issues in his mind such as his wife’s wealth.

The film does not have a release date as yet. The female lead has been offered to Keira Knightley who is said to be keen to star with the American star.

Beautiful Keira Knightley worked for free in her latest film, ‘Maze’, by the painter turned filmmaker Stuart Pearson Wright because she just totally clicked with his ideas.

She appears as Elizabethan lover Constance in the 10-minute short film ‘Maze’ which features the actress and her lover played by the artist in full period costume, lost in a maze trying to find each other and was shot in one day for just 15,000 pounds, The Independent reported.

“I loved the idea of doing something that was purely creative, weird and wonderful and not a commercial venture. Ideas were emailed and then developed at Stuart’s studio over cupcakes and tea, and under the skeleton of his dog, and a film piece was decided on: a collision of our worlds,” Keira Knightley said.

The filmmaker too insists he was pretty hesitant initially to work with a star like Knightley in his debut film, but she instantly put him at ease. “I was impressed Keira agreed to do the film straight away. She had the humility to take direction from somebody who lacked experience. She was as un-diva like as anybody could be, because she is so down to earth. She is not into playing the whole star game. She genuinely loves acting and I think she gives a great performance, in this film, in a very uncomfortable dress,” Stuart said.
