Keira isn't very happy with the trailer for her new film ‘The Duchess’ because it suggests that the period drama is inspired from the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. In the new movie, she plays Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, a distant relation of Princess Diana. The trailer shows images of Keira's character and pictures of Princess Diana and reads: “The two were related by ancestry and united by destiny.” “I am Georgiana. I am not Diana. The film is not about Diana,” the Telegraph quoted Keira, as saying. The promo has also come under fire from Amanda Foreman, the author of the biography, which the film is based on, calling it ‘a bad joke.’ “There is absolutely no reason to have done this trailer, which is a bad joke,” she said. “The marketing people probably thought the only way they could get young popcorn-eating brigade to see this film was if they made some comparison with Diana. But they did not need to and should not have done it,” she added. She also said that the ‘united by destiny’ tag is inaccurate. “I don”t actually think that Georgiana died in a carriage crash,” she said. The movie comes out next month. At least it's getting a lot of publicity with this controversy. |

 We all know how dearly the Brits loved and love Diana - all of us do, actually, but she was Brit's own golden girl. Apparently many of them are very, very unhappy with the way the studio is marketing The Duchess. Comparisons have been drawn, in ads, between Diana and Keira's character. A spokesperson for the studio behind the movie said: "The trailer simply reflects historical fact." (In fairness, there are sad similarities.) Keira points out that she has zero to do with marketing. She told Channel 4 News: "Marketing is nothing to do with me - you are going to have to ask whoever it was at the film company that thought that that was a good idea about that one," she told the show.  When it comes to movies, Keira recently told the press that everything is fair game except her ‘bum.’ “I don’t really have a problem going topless, but my bum is a different matter. I like to have a body double for that. Other than that I don’t have any problem with my body.” She also opened up about the incredibly close relationship she has with her mother. “Mum and I would always talk about sex. She’d come up to my room, have me roll her cigarettes and then tell me I’d have to have one with her.
